Hell ... Freezes For work purposes I had to get an iphone. I am not happy. Simple tasks like selecting all my emails to delete at same time are not possible if support is to be believed. Posted via LiveJournal.app. |

Nothing Beats Good Neighbors
So last weekend was a party at my bosses house. Me and 2 other couples split a limo and got absolutely tanked drinking all of my Uncle Tito's as well as a gift bottle of Grey Goose on the way there and back. I came home tonight ready for a few bloody marys and fuck, no booze. Cup in hand I walk over to my neighbors and ask if I could borrow a cup of Vodka. My neighbor hands me a bottle of Grey Goose orange and says here. I love my neighbors.... |

Grammy LOLs
For some unknown reason i have the Grammy Awards on. I thought nothing would be able to beat the humor of seeing something known as the Jonas Brothers performing with Stevie Wonder but clearly I was wrong. Some guy who looks like he was in charge just asked The Messiah to please enact a new Cabinet position...Secretary of the Arts. And the crowd clapped...wow |

obama so far
I am one of those people who respect decision makers. I dont have to like the decisions, but in general I like people who take a stand and act on it. I just loved this comment to Republicans re taxes "Feel free to whack me over the head because I probably will not compromise on that part." "I understand that and I will watch you on Fox News and feel bad about myself." Again, its not the content just the fact that he is taking a stand, being up front about it and owning it. I dont hate him yet |

Dear Lazyweb
Once more i come to the brilliant hoi polloi looking for help... I am looking for some software that runs a computer display. Basically here is what i am looking to do. We have a large plasma screen on the wall in our Operations Room. I want the display to constantly rotate between a Powerpoint presentation and a couple of websites. A few of the websites auto refreshes the screen and one would need to be refreshed if possible. We would want to be able to set the amount of time each program ran for example... Powerpoint 1 minute website 1 30 seconds website 2 30 seconds website 3 1 minute Powerpoint 1 minutes and on and on If you know one exists, please help....if you want to write it, well give me an estimate Computer runs Windows Vista |

Meme stolen from dmorr post the first sentences of the first post from each month of the last year. schmengie now 2 fer 2 as Cam Cameron has left the building. I have always allowed anonymous commenting since thats how I started here. getting bored...lost around 40k over the last week with suited connectors...just jammed preflop ...we shall see. WTF. after reading a comment by dmorr i got to thinking about the word Nuanced as it relates to political positions. Feel free to argue, but nothing beats Stanley Cup finals hockey. Well its no schmengie family extravaganza like last year, but its still been a lot of fun most of the time. I stopped the daily blogs Tuesday which means I have forgotten almost everything. My wife has some lady friends with their kids coming over today. From Drudge, and I head it on the radio this morning as well...Not yet....will wait until after the election to begin my annual BCS Rants. I have registered to play in the PokerStars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker! |

I just played one of the $215 tickets I won in the Sunday 1.5 Million. In the BB I get a free look with 24o. Flop is 522, turn is a 4 and 3 of us get all the money in. One guy had 55, the other 44....I was never ahead at any point. Nice cooler. Oh well, it was a free roll. Still alive in the Blogger final with 15k in 50th place out of 104 left. Hit the money in a minute or so |

Bowl Pool
I suppose its possible that I could have had a worse day one then yesterday. I went 1-3 and my score? 1 fucking point. First place went 4-0 and has 84 points. The only good news is my 3 losses were on teams I didn't rate highly and I only lost 18 possible points. |

Obama and Warren
The other day i asked about the Warren controversy. Responses? Being Inclusive He has soft spot for horseshit evangelicals he is trying for centrism, but this try i disagree with he doesn't need his left wing anymore maybe he is being clever My opinion is Obama is finally being himself. No longer needing to be palatable to the left, he can do what he wants. He has belonged to a church for decades and my guess is he is not pro gay issues, he is not really pro choice (both of those are common viewpoints in black churches) and he is closer in philosophy to Warren then he is to Planned Parenthood and the gay community. |

Will the last sane person living in New York please turn out the lights when you leave? 88 new fees and taxes including an Ipod tax....wow. I <3 NYSome Highlights * An "iPod tax" that charges state and local sales tax for "digitally delivered entertainment services" - in other words, that new Beyonce song you download. * State sales tax at movie theaters, sporting events, taxis, buses, limousines and cable and satellite TV and radio. * Costlier driving with the repeal of the 8-cents-per-gallon sales tax cap on motor and diesel motor fuel, plus and increase in the auto rental tax. * Tuition increases at SUNY and CUNY, $620 and $600 a year respectively. * A 50 cent tax on cigars. The current tax is equal to 37% of the wholesale price, or 34 cents a cigar. * No more sales tax break on clothes and shoes worth $110 or less, except during two weeks a year. * Higher taxes on wine, beer and flavored malt beverages. He would also impose an 18% tax on non-nutritional drinks like soda. * The rich would pay more for luxury items through an additional 5% tax imposed on cars costing more than $60,000, aircraft costing more than $500,000, yachts costing at least $200,000 and jewelry and furs costing in excess of $20,000. * In addition, a host of a fees, including those related to motor vehicle licensing and registration, parks and auto insurance, would go up, as would various state-imposed fines. |

Since all the really cool bloggers are discussing it
So many posts about Global Warming, so many comments. Who knows who is right. Ultimately I think it will sorta be like a rush in cards. I think it was Caro who said a rush can only be seen when its over. Thats how it will be with Global Warming. 100 years from now someone will look back and say those people were fucking idiots. But which people? My view? I think its sorta like patrissimo's views on voting where he said : "But any one vote never matters,". I think dmorr commented in a journal as to why someone wouldnt vote and said because they understood math. Thats may be a misrememberation but I think its close to what he said. If one vote out of 132 million is meaningless, what is 1 persons actions in a world of 6.7 Billion people? 50 times more meaningless? But in voting, the cows who fart dont count, neither do volcanoes or sunspots or any other natural cause. In Global Warming all of that stuff counts. So 1 persons actions may be as much as thousands or even millions of times more meaningless then 1 persons vote. If going Ed Begley makes you feel better, then have at it. Me? My actions mean shit and I just dont give a flying fuck. |
